Memo

You may remember that the word SPIRIT which is the Divine Consciousness and Universal Life Principle that creates and sustains all existence, comes from the Latin word meaning ‘a breath’. It’s this ‘breath of God’ that gave us life and maintains it. On the physical level it is our breath or breathing which keeps us alive – when it stops we stop!
So the Holy Spirit can be likened to the inner sound current of the ‘breath of God’ that carries the ‘still, small voice of God’ which we can learn to hear – if we go into the inner silence enough! You might like to think of it metaphorically as listening to the gentle breath of life or ‘breeze’ that softly and continuously blows within you, keeping you alive and connected to the Mind of God!
